Do you guys agree that my every projects are too much cute ?
Do I need more organized and analytic info graphic?

THESIS PROJECT 12 | infographics

Most of people feel comfortable on the internet when they use one of three ways to communicate with man or woman so far. More than half of woman are very comfortable on the phone and More than half of man are very comfortable when facing the person they are talking to.

*Center circle present that which way of the communication person prefer at first.

I am not sure that I am going with this direction. I will try more with this. Also, I am doing precess book as well.

THESIS PROJECT 12 | outline for PB

Topic
Mind map
Color pallet
Logo application
Poster
Typography with research....................... for process book

- Concepts work (packaging and sticker)
- survey w/ info graphics
.
.

Do I have to put everything in process book or
just present my conceptual process work?

THESIS PROJECT 12 | survey

I want to survey which of the method of interaction with people does people prefer.
I will do info graphic with this. I know I had to do this a little bit earlier. However, I already have resource from Jen like this,

Face-to-face conversations and the telephone are Americans' preferred ways of communicating with others: two-thirds (65%) say they are very comfortable when facing the person they are talking to, while six out of ten Americans (60%) are very comfortable on the phone. The gender differences found in this survey confirm popular stereotypes: while women feel more relaxed chatting on the phone (65% report being "very comfortable" vs. only 54% of men), men prefer face-to-face interactions (69% say they are "very comfortable" vs. 60% of women).

It is limited to Americans. That is why I want to do this again by me. In addition, I would like to separate each of answer from people into different gender(man and woman) to do info graphics.

Anyway, I will send survey format to my friends, you guys and Jen. Please answer that and then send email me w/ your response.

==================================================================
[ like this]
I am going to survey you a list of ways that people may use to communicate with one another. For each type of communication that I have,
please tell me whether you feel very comfortable(4), somewhat comfortable(3), not too comfortable(2), or not at all comfortable(1) communicating in that way.

{check first}
#1
I am a woman ( ), man ( )

{and then put the number in the blank below}

#2
If you feel comfortable on the telephone with woman, put here. ( )
If you feel comfortable at the internet(by mail, messenger) with woman put here. ( )
If you feel comfortable, when you are face to face with woman put here. ( )
#3
If you feel comfortable on the telephone with man, put here. ( )
If you feel comfortable at the internet(by mail, messenger) with man, put here. ( )
If you feel comfortable, when you are face to face with man, put here. ( )

It will be used only for my survey to do info graphics about 'Human Interaction' which is my thesis topic.

THESIS PROJECT 11 | package for mood products

Here is packaging for mood products with three-gradation color. I planned to make chocolate, tea and soap that affection makes people feel better and calm down. My works are cute as my logo and the others. ( I am not sure. am I going correct? )

This is for cover of thesis process book.
However, I will think more details like format, size and so on. Therefore, I will keep this for later.

Probably, I have to more focus on 'human interaction' as Jen mentioned before. I mean I need organizing processing in 'human interaction' as well. I want to make my thesis project with delicate connection between each works. It is not a story about one subject. It can be about different story from HI. I do not know which way makes sense so far.

THESIS PROJECT 11 | note

I just posted my work that is from last week.

I am planning to do packaging things like chocolate, perfume, soap (wash product), tea, card etc. It will be one of mood project. I will figure out more connection between some products with people's mood.

On the other hand, I can do other package work for human interaction. I am not sure but my product might be conceptual thing that based some abstract idea about interaction and mood.

THESIS PROJECT 8 | mood calendar v.1

[ Mood calendar Type 1 + sticker kits
]

[ Mood calendar Type 2 + sticker kits
]

[ Mood calendar poster ]

[ more sticker ]

My idea for mood calendar is base on three colors what I picked. It says the mood of your each days and how long did you involved with your feeling in a day.

If you have many negative days and hours, you can realize your condition and then you will probably try to have more days that are positive. Otherwise, if you have many positive days and hours, you will realize you are so happy person. Just check for where you are. Most of person forget what they felt before and then have same cycle of life again. You can make new life with chage.

For instance, you do not have to say your condition to your co-worker when you have some trouble, because, they already got your feeling through this mood calendar on your desk.

Finally, it can be a new way to interaction with people.

THESIS PROJECT 8 | research for mood calendar

1. cool /warm/neutral

- Cool Color Meanings (calming): Blue, Green, Turquoise and Silver
- Warm Color Meanings (exciting): Red, Pink, Yellow, Gold and Orange
- Neutral Color Meanings (unifying): Brown, Beige, Ivory, Gray, Black and White

While perceptions of color are somewhat subjective, there are some color effects that have universal meaning.

Colors in the red area of the color spectrum are known as warm colors and include red, orange, and yellow. These warm colors evoke emotions ranging from feelings of warmth and comfort to feelings of anger and hostility.

Colors on the blue side of the spectrum are known as cool colors and include blue, purple, and green. These colors are often described as calm, but can also call to mind feelings of sadness or indifference.

2. general info.

The Color Psychology of Orange
- Orange is a combination of yellow and red and is considered an energetic color.
- Orange calls to mind feelings of excitement, enthusiasm, and warmth.
- Orange is often used to draw attention, such as in traffic signs and advertising.

The Color Psychology of Green
- Green is a cool color that symbolizes nature and the natural world.
- Green also represents tranquility, good luck, health, and jealousy.
- Researchers have also found that green can improve reading ability. Some students may find that laying a transparent sheet of green paper over reading material increases reading speed and comprehension.
- Green has long been a symbol of fertility and was once the preferred color choice for wedding gowns in the 15th-century. Even today, green M & M's (an American chocolate candy) are said to send a sexual message.
- Green is often used in decorating for its calming effect. For example, guests waiting to appear on television programs often wait in a “green room” to relax.
- Green is thought to relieve stress and help heal. Those who have a green work environment experience fewer stomachaches.
- Consider how green is used in language: green thumb, green with envy, greenhorn.

3. more about psychology

Brown represents wholesomeness and earthiness. While it might be considered a little on the dull side, it also represents steadfastness, simplicity, friendliness, dependability, and health.

Green is life. Abundant in nature, green signifies growth, renewal, health, and environment. On the flip side, green is jealousy or envy (green-eyed monster) and inexperience.

Orange is vibrant. It's a combination of red and yellow so it shares some common attributes with those colors. It denotes energy, warmth, and the sun. But orange has a bit less intensity or aggression than red, calmed by the cheerfulness of yellow.

4. conclusion

I thought only my color palette will be used in my 'mood calendar'. I pick up the each color (green/orange/brown) from three categories (cool/warm/neutral) such as green ton from Cool, orange ton from warm and brown ton from neutral. In this case, green color will be part of negative feeling. Orange color will be part of positive and energetic feeling. Brown will be part of medium between green and orange.

I am not sure about this. Make sense?

I cannot say one color has simply one mood or feeling and meaning. Because, every color has both complicated and duplicated meaning in different situation. Therefore, I want to more focus on symbolic aspect of color with simplified meaning by this category.

Any comment

THESIS PROJECT 6 | Note

Headlines from the New York Times I'm working with :

1. Apple tops expectations as iPhone use spread
2. The London Frieze Fair spawns provocative action on its fringes
3. From fertile sketchpads, anxious tales and terrors
4. When survival Hinged on team spirit
5. Fashionistas at war : Put on the armor
6. Boots on the ground, smoke in the air (Iraqi cabinet wants....with image)
7. These Neighbors are good ones without a new fence
8. Energy from wind is part of the answer (from the advertising "america's leadership team")

Maybe I am thinking of two more headlines and organizing connected ideas.

THESIS PROJECT 6 | logo v.2

Click this image to see

I have the basic LOGO version with just word 'H.I' and blue speak-balloon above. 'H.I' is the initial word from 'human interaction'. And I can say Human interaction could be start with saying 'HI' btw people. So, It could be one way to make human interaction as well. When I use two balloons of 'HI', It show people are interacting each other. Anyway, each of logo will support to make sense with different works. Consequently, logo is enough to afford each purpose of works.

THESIS PROJECT 5 | note

Through variety of interactions, we have chance to communicate with new ways to interact. (Something from here)

People are all interacted by many factors that is 'LANGAUGE' by redefined mean. Language can make message that is being communicated by people. That is, L makes people acting in respond to people, basing on the meaning that those people want to give. Meaning are modified and adjusted through the process of the interpretation that is the individual's respond to the people. (Something from here)

And Human interaction as constantly lasting process, dialogue, during which individuals are watching each other, trying to understand the intentions, and reacting to them.

- I also have planed to survey that will be represent on this report

"Men prefer face to face interaction" (69% say they are "very comfortable" vs. 60% of women)
And I just wonder when people meet stranger (like me), how many people have positive attitude having different approach. I am not sure, but I want to do some coding works with survey.

[+INFO]
Perceived attitude when they are interacting: 0.07 (verbal) + 0.38 (vocal) + 0.55 (facial)

THESIS PROJECT 5 | imagery

Honestly, I am not sure what is this for. But I am looking for different direction for work at the common place where is filled with many people. There is going to make Human Interaction btw people anywhere. (As I mentioned before, It will be some kind of campaign or advertising for print.) I am thinking on doing works with lighting. (It is not from people directly, but showing and representing 'Interaction' from people.)

Here is image for more thinking so far.
